The technology of "Syncretic Fume Pipe and Tower" means that the exhaust gas of thermal power plants is no longer discharged to the atmosphere through chimneys, but through flues to hyperbolic cooling towers. The flue gas after desulfurization treatment is brought to high altitude by the flue in the tower, and the flue and cooling towers are integrated to form an exhaust emission system. Fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP) is used in flue duct of flue tower integration because of its good corrosion resistance and durability, long service life and cost saving. Its service life is as long as 30 years, which coincides with the life cycle of thermal power plants. It avoids the economic losses and troubles caused by the shutdown of replacing pipes and saves the cost of anticorrosion. At the same time, because of its light weight, FRP does not need support, saving construction costs.

The environmental protection significance of the "Syncretic Fume Pipe and Tower" project is very important. As a mature technology developed by Germany in the 1980s, the cooling tower is used to discharge exhaust gas. The purification rate of exhaust gas can reach 97.5%, especially the landing concentration of exhaust gas is obviously better than that of chimney. The height of chimney discharge is about 300 meters, while the cooling tower is 500 meters. As a result, the exhaust gas diffusion fan increases and the carbide concentration falls below 400 mg/cubic meters.
